Prediction for CME (2024-12-22T21:36:00-CME-001)CME Observed Time: 2024-12-22T21:36ZiSWAS Layout URL: https://kauai.ccmc.gsfc.nasa.gov/DONKI/view/CME/35891/-1 CME Note: Faint loop CME first seen in the SE by SOHO LASCO C2 beginning at 2024-12-22T21:36Z, as well as by SOHO LASCO C3 in later frames. This event is not seen in STEREO A COR2 due to a data gap from 2024-12-23T11:09Z to 2024-12-23T01:09Z and limited STEREO A data due to an ongoing campaign. The source of this CME is an M1.1 flare from AR 3932 (S16E37) as seen in GOES SUVI 131. Field line opening is also visible in GOES SUVI 195 and 284, along with a region of dimming to the SW of the region in GOES SUVI 195, suggesting a Southwestern deflection. CME was not detected at Earth. Observed Geomagnetic Storm Parameters due to CME: ---- Predicted Arrival Time: 2024-12-25T16:00Z Predicted geomagnetic storm max Kp range due to CME: 3.0 - 5.0 Prediction Method: Median of all Methods Prediction Method Note: This is the auto generated median of all submitted predictions for this CME.Lead Time: -316.95 hour(s) Difference: ----- Prediction submitted by Auto Generated (CCMC) on 2025-01-07T20:57Z |
